Basic Website Design is located in South-Central Ontario and independently owned and operated by myself, Dave Stewart. I am a graduate of the Internet Business Development for Entrepreneurs web design program which is offered in association with Selkirk College in British Columbia, Canada and have been involved in web design and other internet activities since the late 1990's.

How We Design Websites

We pride ourselves on creating low cost, functional and visually appealing websites for all types of organisations. Our designs are created to be compliant with the latest HTML, XHTML and CSS internet standards while at the same time being easily altered, updated and/or added to. Our design techniques are a low cost option for organisations who desire a presence on the internet.

Our Website Design Theory

Fancy animations and high tech programming, while being visually interesting and creative, do little to entice sales and provide meaningful information, are quite expensive to produce and often impede site performance and navigation.

Simple, functional designs are much easier to use by persons with disabilities and the less web savvy of your visitors. Simple fast loading web sites not only create a positive and productive experience for both your visitors and your company but are also search engine friendly which is critical to higher page rankings with the search engines.
